SET (State Eligibility Test) is a state-level eligibility examination conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University for the states of Maharashtra and Goa. Candidates who qualify the SET become eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges, as per the UGC norms. Maharashtra SET Exam 2026.

Qualifications :  Master's Degree with 55% for general candidates and 50% for the other categories. Candidates must have Master Degree recognized by U.G.C

Age Limit : no upper age limit

Fees : General/EWS : 800 , SC/ST/PH/VH/Transgenders : 650
